“Crazy Head” -Oil Painting Time-lapse Demonstration with tips and techniques. Brush Palette knife .

This video shows my process working on this abstract expressionistic head.
With time-lapse (speeded up with music and voice-over descriptions)- there are some crazy and funny filmic sequences towards the end.
I am always experimenting in my art ,and therefore I never know what the results will be – why should film-making and editing be any different?
I use oil paint applied with brushes ,palette knives ,as well as scraping and scratching with a penknife and wiping with rags.

As I learn this new set of skills to make videos , I am having a lot of fun along the way.
While this channel grows and develops I hope to make a library of useful and helpful topics for anyone who wants to understand art, both for learning to paint and also for the creativity that everyone needs to have a fulfilled and successful life.
It is just over 60 years since I began painting and I have been both an amateur and professional artist. To me there is no difference – what counts is the enthusiasm and desire to do it.

Please have a look ay my website for a gallery of over 25 paintings and a lot more biographical information.
